Check out these beautifully designed Nabisco animal cracker boxes by designer Douglas Flournoy. The large bold type and simple imagery give the package a look of simplicity and modesty, ultimately giving it a bit of a higher-end makeover. The substrate is recycled paperboard, with plastic bagging on the inside encompassing the contents.

New work from Cristina Rotundo, a student at Academy of Art University:

“[We were] asked to choose a brand name that you wouldn’t associate with home décor and appliances, and create a housewares line around it.
Through research, a special connection was made between Patrón Tequila and the home. The blue agave—the plant used to make tequila—provides sugar, syrup, edible flowers and fibers. Both agave and tequila can be used to cook and bake as well. Also, the Patrón factory is a massive hacienda, traditionally created as a rural, autonomous, social unit which would supply food, clothing and medical aid to it’s surrounding communities. This is an important element of The Patrón Companies roots.
Each item has a headline that references specific bar lingo that relates to each items function in a unique way. This approach maintains Patron’s sophistication and youthful feel in a way that is still fun and approachable. The line is also bilingual, having both English and Spanish content.”
