Los Angeles based artist Ana Serrano created her own life-sized, handmade, cardboard version of a Los Angeles neighborhood. ”Salon of Beauty” was inspired by her everyday life in Los Angeles’ diverse, urban neighborhoods and reflects on its low socioeconomic positions, beliefs, customs, fashions, and architecture. From plants to signage, everything in the imaginary neighborhood was made with cardboard.
