The sculpture ‘Little Manhattan’ is a miniature model of New York City carved out of a large slab of marble. The 8-foot long model weighs in at 2.5 tons and the details are startlingly impeccable. The birds eye view of the city includes the varying heights of all the different buildings and even has the raised landscapes of Central Park.
‘Little Manhattan’ was created by Yutaka Sone, a Japanese artist who now resides in Los Angeles. The interesting sculpture will be on display at the David Zwirner gallery in New York City through to 29 October.
